OEM & ODM support

Turn an OEM or ODM idea into a controlled production program

Define the application, specification, design responsibility, validation, compliance, approved samples, packaging, commercial terms, and change control before production release.

Program definition

Six gates before production release

01

Application brief

Load or vehicle, duty, environment, interfaces, destination, quantity, schedule, and success criteria.

02

Controlled specification

Model identity, electrical and mechanical limits, drawings, communications, labeling, documents, and revision ownership.

03

Feasibility review

Architecture, cells or plates, BMS, enclosure, connectors, charger or PCS, test scope, tooling, and supply risks.

04

Prototype and validation

Approved sample, test plan, acceptance criteria, failure response, records, and any destination-specific evaluation.

05

Commercial release

MOQ, tooling, lead-time basis, pricing assumptions, warranty document, packaging, forecast, and responsibility matrix.

First technical review

Send one brief that separates the fixed requirements from the open questions

Unknown inputs can remain unknown, but they should be visible. That lets the first review distinguish a standard configuration from a real engineering change instead of hiding assumptions in an informal request.

Include in the first brief

  • Application, load or host equipment, duty cycle, operating modes, and success criteria
  • Voltage, power, usable-energy target, charge source, interfaces, and communications
  • Envelope, weight, mounting, connectors, cables, service access, and environment
  • Destination, compliance requirements, labels, manuals, packaging, and shipping route
  • Forecast quantity, initial order, schedule, target sample stage, and commercial assumptions
  • Existing drawings, specifications, approved samples, test methods, and known constraints

A reviewable response should identify

  • Which requirements fit a published or existing standard configuration
  • Which items require engineering change, tooling, samples, validation, or third-party review
  • Which values, interfaces, documents, costs, quantities, and dates remain unconfirmed
  • Who owns drawings, approvals, supplied parts, testing, packaging, release, and future changes
  • The next evidence needed before quotation, prototype approval, or production release

Decision states

Classify each requirement before treating it as committed scope

Standard configuration

A currently supported item that still needs the exact model, revision, quantity, destination, and quotation to be confirmed.

Engineering change

A requested electrical, mechanical, firmware, labeling, packaging, or document change that needs feasibility, ownership, cost, schedule, and validation review.

Open item

A missing or conflicting input that must remain visible until the buyer and engineering teams provide an approved answer.

Prepare a controlled OEM or ODM brief

The first review can identify missing inputs and separate standard configuration from true engineering change.
