A replacement market affected by storage and starting problems

A motorcycle-service chain in Hanoi replaced more than 40,000 starter batteries a year across eighteen branches. Customers commonly reported difficulty starting after their motorcycles had been left unused, and the former batteries typically lasted fourteen to eighteen months.
